Whoop!

Howdy!
Let me just apologize for the lack of posts. My life has been quite hectic lately! The wait is now over and I come bearing great news...

I am officially the LOUDEST and the proudest member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of  '19!!! There are no words that could describe how honored I feel to be able to attend the best university in the state of Texas. Going to Texas A&M has been a dream of mine since I was little. My mom graduated as the Class of '86, so Aggie blood runs in my veins. As the saying goes, "it takes the best to raise the best", and my mom is definitely the best. I cannot wait to follow in her footsteps and make her proud.

I am beyond excited to see what will happen within the next four years. It's sure to be filled with Aggie football games, Midnight Yells, and (hopefully) lots and lots of studying.

But most of all, I am thrilled for the many memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. At Texas A&M, the student body is more close-knit than anything I've seen before. It's a family. It's said that "from the outside looking in, you can't understand it. From the inside looking out, you can't explain it." You don't feel like you're at a school with more than 50,000 people. The history. The traditions. The spirit of Aggieland. It all combines to form something special. You'll always been an Aggie and College Station will always be your home.

To say I'm elated is an understatement.

Thanks and Gig 'Em!

Hats Off to Birthdays {OOTD}

Howdy, it's Julia!  I already know what you are thinking -- "Two fashion posts in a row..really?" But I just couldn't help myself. I am OBSESSED with this outfit.

Earrings: Kendra Scott
Dress: Altar'd State (Similar)
Wedges: Steve Madden (Similar)
Monogrammed Clutch: Etsy

I truly wish I could wear this outfit everyday! I feel like I am coming out of my shell and finding my own style. Lately, I've been really into dressing more on the bohemian style. But that doesn't stop me from adding a few touches of southern prep.

For those of you that are unaware, my birthday was last Friday! I wore this dress during the day with a pair of nude flats and then to transition it to more of a night time ensemble, I dressed it up with a simple necklace and a few bracelets. For dinner, I chose to eat at a local Japanese restaurant, Sakekawa, and let me tell you it is SO beyond delicious. I want to eat fried rice for the rest of my life.

I adore this dress because it is a statement in itself. It isn't necessary to wear a statement necklace or an overbearing piece of jewelry. In fact, just a pair of earrings and a simple bracelet and you are good to go! You can just throw this on and look fabulous for any occasion, such as birthdays, anniversaries and even Valentine's Day.

My clutch was a birthday gift from my sister earlier in the week and I just haven't been able to put it down. I literally wear it with anything and everything. Dress? Check. Jeans? Check. Nike Shorts? Check (go ahead and judge me). The purse comes with a gold chain so that it can also become a cross body bag. It's a great gift for any girl!

Interested in ordering one? Check out AshleyEmroidery on Etsy. She did a fantastic job and I will definitely be ordering from her in the future.

What's on your birthday wishlist?

Please leave any comments or suggestions!

See ya'll next time!
Love,
Julia

Anchors Away

Howdy, it's Julia! And it's officially my first blog post ever..I'm a little nervous so please take it easy on me!

Anchor Shirt: Croft & Barrow
Black Pants: American Eagle
Boots: LL Bean
Necklace: Forever 21

Unfortunately, I do not look this put together everyday. In fact, I'm usually sporting an over sized t-shirt and leggings. But I figured y'all would much rather see a fashion post than a comfy lazy girl post!

I personally believe a woman is never fully dressed without a smile and a little bit of lipstick. So, of course, I could not forget to apply my favorite red lip!

As mentioned previously, this is my first post! So let's bring out the confetti and pop some champagne! (maybe even a chocolate fountain?) I am so very excited to begin sharing my life, ideas, dreams, goals, and pretty much anything else you can imagine-- with all of ya'll!

When I first found this shirt my mind raced with the possibilities. Tucked into a simple skirt or a white pair of shorts, this shirt is extremely versatile. But I never imagined that I would have ended up wearing it during the winter down here in Texas!

Believe it or not, we had some gorgeous weather come our way. Sarah immediately texted me and off we went to take pictures. By the way, isn't she an awesome photographer?! It seems as though we had the most perfect light. Anyway that seems to be enough rambling for the day!

What are you most excited about this month of February?

Please leave any comments or suggestions!

See ya'll next time!
Love,
Julia
